There are people who like to party....and there are people who like to PAR-TAY!And we're not quite sure that anyone parties harder than The Alison Show (AKA: Alison Faulkner)...maybe Andew WK, but really he's lacking in the pops of color, glitter confetti and sugar cookies like this wonder woman piles on with exuberant force. Alison first danced into our lives (quite literally) back in 2012 at the ALT Summit Design Conference....where she was flailing with electrifying energy...not to mention perfectly punctuated jazz hands...and a deep raspy laugh that was all incredibly contagious. In a word, we fell in love, and she's continued to entertain us in person and online ever since.

Typically YOU GOT SERVED has focused on movers and shakers that create magic in the kitchen...and where Alison excels in cookie icing techniques (in fact she teaches a class on that) her heart and her strength are really focused on the ability to create joy and unity in moments of ridiculous real life struggles, in turn teaching us how to party like a boss (she also has an online course for that) every step of the way. And with that - we thought she would bring a new and exciting twist to the styling challenge - and that she did....IN ALL CAPS with a caboodle filled with fantastical plastic trinkets, confetti cannon and all....

Do you have a routine or game plan when it comes to styling with props for your photos?

I'd say my game plan when styling is to remember to not get so wrapped up in whatever it is that I'm styling that I start to get too serious about it. I mean, let's not pretend I haven't spent 15 minutes rearranging sprinkles, because I have, but my brand is about fun and being comfortable with yourself, so I try to have fun AND be comfortable with myself, haha when I style something. This is easier said than done when pressure and expectations start to mount and you want everything to be JUST right! So I have to keep myself in check a lot.

What's your Serving Style? Brand new/on trend, unique vintage originals, particular colors?   Oh man, I think my style is honestly whatever I'm in the mood for or have time for that day. My life is made up of super random leftover party supplies, so my serving style basically consists of a smorgasbord of outlandish materials. You will most-likely be eating with a glitter fork and leftover cocktail napkin.

Do you have a favorite piece in your collection? What's the story behind it? I have some white serving ware that someone got me (I hadn't registered for it) for our wedding. I, of course, had registered for lots of random colors and patterns, and they took it upon themselves to go to Crate & Barrel and get me some nice classic pieces. Seven years later, and those dishes are pretty much all I have kept. As I said, I bring so much other randomness to whatever I'm doing, that it's nice to have simple clean basics to anchor the crazy.

If you could get a hold of any item for your kitchen or tabletop, what do you currently have your eye on?

I want that freaking gold flatware from West Elm with all my heart. I have gold flatware, but it was inexpensive and the ONLY option 5 years ago, and it's all spotted and blah now. It looks like you're eating off of dirty spoons and forks. Hahaha. I've spent money on much more absurd things than new flatware so I don't know why I don't just ante up!

If you could express your personal style in 3 emojis, what would they be? Ok ...red dress kicking girl, DUH the money with the wings flying and the party horn OR the laugh cry face...tough call!

Punchy, wacky and totally out of control. We LOVE what Alison created and we love her festive over the top style (she's the only one who went for the plastic cactus!!). She basically created a still life party station that screams her individual personality....and it wouldn't be The Alison Show if it wasn't a family affair. We love how her little ones got in on the action too. Most of all we love this incredibly hard working woman for always celebrating life and reminding us not to sweat the small stuff...preferably with a room filled with balloons, a giant flamingo and that infectious carefree laugh.

Make sure to check out The Alison Show website and get a dose of major party inspiration and sign up for a party making-cooking icing class, as well as staying entertained daily with her real-life laughs (that usually involve her swigging from a gigantic diet soda or ridiculous dance videos) over on instagram and snapchat.
